Yoga Pointe’s Safe In-Studio Standards
In addition to opening our new spacious studio at Southgate plaza, we plan to continue livestreaming many of our yoga classes.
We thank you for welcoming us into your homes and practicing with your family (human ones and furry ones).
We know many of you have discovered that your practice can be more consistent when having the option to livestream from home.
For those planning on coming to the studio, here is our process, which is very similar to most other business practices.
Each day we will be carefully evalulating our standards and processes and making changes that will sustain your assurance and trust in us in keeping our sacred studio safe and clean. Our intention is to be open with confidence and commitment to the highest standards of health and safety as well as to the highest standards of yoga practice.
PRACTICE SELF-CHECKS BEFORE ARRIVING
We are so grateful for your help in keeping yourself and this community safe.
If you aren’t feeling well, have a cough, fever or symptoms of COVID-19, please don’t attend class for your wellbeing and that of your teachers and fellow yogis.
If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who has, we ask that you not come to the studio for 14 days or until you’ve tested negative.
If your allergies have you coughing and sneezing, please wait until later to take class.
PRACTICE DISTANCE AS YOU ARRIVE
Register ahead for your class in advance due to limited class capacity. No walk-ins at this time.
Deregistration 6 hours prior to class start is required so your yogi friends can register. If you do not deregister for a class, your class pack will be charged. We know plans change but we are operating on 50% capacity to keep us all safe, so take the minute to de-register to open your spot for another yogi.
Prepayment Online is required so we can stay hands free at check in. For retail items, you can pay in studio and we’ve got antibacterial spray!
Limit your time in the studio to 15 minutes before and after class.
Wear a mask while you are in the studio everywhere except on your mat. While on your mat, free your face.
Air hugs, air hi-5’s and other ‘air-happy to see you’ mudras are welcomed but for now, let’s keep our safe distance.
Follow the YP icon floor markers to the reception desk to keep that safe distance.
Use designated bathrooms but our new showers unfortunately won’t be available yet.
PRACTICE CONTACT FREE
Bring your own mat so you can practice on that space with confidence. Mats and props available for purchase in the Yoga Pointe Boutique.
Bring your props, as we will not offer props for use at this time. While in class, keep your props close by to respect the 6 feet space.
Place the front center of your mat on the YP icon stickers to give your fellow yogis 6 feet of space. We are happy to keep class sizes limited to keep us healthy.
Hot Yogis, a large towel and a hand towel are required for heated classes to help soak up your glistening sweat. Mat towels will be available for purchase in the Yoga Pointe Boutique. Unfortunately, we will have to wait for the return of the cold cloths.
Remove your mask once on your mat so you can breathe with peace.
Once on your mat, stay on your mat to stay contact free. Let you instructor know if you need something. But if you have to get up, please put mask back on until you return to your mat.
Teachers will stay on their mats for the duration of class, so we’ll have to wait in anticipation of those yummy hands on assists.
We will sanitize and disinfect all studio floors, cubbies, bathrooms and surfaces.
Wash your hands, before you arrive and while at Yoga Pointe, we’ll share our hand sanitizer.
Our YP Tribe will always wear face masks and use gloves as necessary.
PRACTICE REFLECTION & PLANNING
We are opening with a limited schedule to give us time to practice our new routine. We will add classes each week to best meet your yoga needs and anticipate building up to our full schedule soon.
We will reflect daily on what’s working and change what isn’t.
We plan to make your yoga experience wonderfully peaceful once again.
